The onboarding tasks are divided into four phases. Phase 3 is your virtual or in-person processing appointment. Completion times may vary.
Review and update your FCPS profile (including preferred name, date of birth, contact information, Social Security Number, EEO information, etc.).
Review and update your FCPS profile, including uploading virtual copies of your identification documents. For a list of acceptable documents to verify your identity, please visit the USCIS Form I-9 Acceptable Documents website.
FCPS is pleased to offer fully remote onboarding, which includes verifying identity and employment eligibility, fingerprinting, and badge photo submission. We recognize that fully remote onboarding requires comfort with using a variety of technology platforms and the ability to upload documents. If you would prefer to complete these steps in person with the support of our staff at the FCPS Gatehouse Administration Center, an appointment can be scheduled.
You will have 30 days after your first day of work to select your medical and retirement benefits.
Login to Onboarding
The Onboarding system allows newly hired or rehired employees the opportunity to review and complete relevant Human Resource, Payroll, and Benefit forms.
The system will log you out after 10 minutes of inactivity. If you are logged out, you may log back in at any time to continue the onboarding process where you left off.
It’s best to log off if you plan to leave your computer for more than five minutes.
You will want to ensure your browser zoom is 100% or less.
If you click “save and continue,” your information is saved, but you still have the ability to go back and change it before it is submitted.
If you click “save and finish later,” your information will be saved, and you will be logged out of onboarding.
Forms are not saved unless one of the “save” options has been selected.
Please double-check your information for accuracy before you click “save and submit,” as once submitted, the information can’t be changed, and the information submitted may affect your pay.
Read all of the information on the page before you start each task.
After you complete a task, it moves to the bottom of the task list, and you see the next task at the top.
